Position Summary

The Pastor will provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation, faithfully preach and teach the Word of God, and lead the church in fulfilling its mission within the local community. The ideal candidate will be firmly grounded in Scripture, possess a shepherd’s heart, and demonstrate a strong commitment to independent fundamental Baptist doctrine.

Key Responsibilities

-Preach and teach the Bible during regular worship services and midweek gatherings

-Provide biblical counseling and pastoral care to individuals and families

-Lead church services, ordinances (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and special events

-Equip and encourage church members in spiritual growth and service

-Oversee and support church ministries and outreach efforts

-Collaborate with church leadership and volunteers to provide direction and vision

-Maintain a visible presence in the community and actively engage in local outreach

Qualifications

-A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

-Strong agreement with independent, fundamental Baptist convictions

-Seminary degree preferred or significant pastoral/ministry experience

-Ability to preach and teach Scripture clearly, accurately, and faithfully

-Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine shepherd’s heart

-A life marked by integrity, humility, and prayerful leadership
