JOB DESCRIPTION

Faith Chapel is looking for a senior pastor who is an encouraging leader and an effective Bible teacher who will work with the church and its leadership to lead us into the new season of life and ministry God has for us. He is responsible to preach and teach the Word of God, to oversee ministries of the church, to oversee the other church staff, administer the ordinances and supervise the administration of the church. Along with the Elders, the pastor will be responsible for the pastoral oversight of the church including vision casting, equipping people for ministry, and leadership development so that the congregation can grow in their faith, fulfilling their mission to glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus Christ.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

●        A man who has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and consistently displays the evidence of a growing, mature relationship with Him as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

●        An effective Bible teacher whose teaching connects with people’s lives in a way that helps them spiritually mature.

●        A capable leader and administrator who works well with other staff and ministry leaders to oversee the life and ministries of the church.

●        Promotes unity within the church family as we align our lives and ministries to our God-given mission, values and vision.

●        Has the education, training and experience required for the position and is or is willing to work towards credentialing and ordination in the Evangelical Free Church of America.

ABOUT FAITH CHAPEL

In January of 1973, a small group of Christians gathered in the living room of one of their homes for Bible study, prayer and worship. They soon were led by the Lord to form what is now Faith Chapel. Today, Faith Chapel is a multi-generational church family where people are welcomed, accepted, loved and cared for as we grow in our relationship with Christ together. Since that first meeting, we have remained committed to the Bible as the inspired Word of God, sought to effectively teach it and by God’s grace live by it.

Over the last several months Faith Chapel has gone through an intentional interim process as we refreshed our mission, clarified our core values and discerned the vision God has for us moving forward. We are now poised to continue to grow as an authentic biblical community who are committed to reaching our community with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
